This post formerly explained why none of the "Soul on the Air" features were working. But now they are, so disregard everything about this post except the fun video below!
As some of you know, I occasionally get the chance to DJ among rare soul fans and friends, and recently my friend and brother from another mother, Brian Philips, were invited to do a 30-minute set at Hip Drop, the annual Ponderosa Stomp pre-party in New Orleans. Here are excerpt from our set, in which the two of us got our groove on while slinging those soul and funk platters! Enjoy!

Can someone please figure out the playlist?
Here's the set list for the Hip Drop video:
1. Paul Flagg, "Love Get Off My Shoulders"
2. Milton Marlin, "Here I Yam"
3. Betty Adams, "Make It Real (Ride On)"
4. Spencer Wiggins, "Love Machine"
5. Otis Clay, "Three Is a Crowd"
6. Richard Brown, "Don't Listen to the Grapevine"
7. Jackie Wilson, "Soul Time"
Thx.
That marvelous Paul Flagg songs seems to be rather obscure. Unknown by google, itunes, spotify and youtube...
Paul Flagg was an Atlanta disc jockey, and he cut two 45s for Atlantic and one for Wand in the late '60s. The flip side of "Love Get Off My Shoulders" is the great groover "What Did I Do Wrong (To You Baby)," and his second Atlantic 45 ("Pappa-Mamma-Romper-Stomper" b/w "Shoo Fly Pie") is equally as good.
Great to see so much fun being had. And thanks, from thousands of miles away, for all the air-checks.
